Roger Lee Scott from Tennessee has been charged with two counts of attempted murder for shooting a motorcyclist and backing his SUV into another, the Associated Press reported.

Scott was arrested on a $1 million bond by the Knoxville County Sheriff's Office after an altercation which ended in a violent shooting of one of the bikers, Tyler Lakin, according to the AP.

The situation began when Scott almost hit the two bikers and they began waving their arms and hands at him, according to the AP. Scott then began to make obscene gestures at them, stopped his SUV in the middle of the road and backed into one of the bikers, knocking him and his bike over.

The police statement said Scott was also charged with fleeing the scene where a witnesse stopped to help the two motorcyclist, the AP reported. Both bikers and the witness then followed Scott to his house where they proceeded to call the police.

While the three waited on the same street where Scott was arrested for parking his car and assaulting a passenger in 2002, witnesses reported Scott submerging from his home shouting racial slurs to the men, one of whom was an African American, the AP reported.

Scott then went into his garage and came out with two guns, one in each hand, shooting at the three men on the street, according to the AP.

According to a report by the sheriff's department, Scott shot Lakin three times in the back, once in the wrist, and continued shooting as he lay on the ground, the AP reported. Lakin was transported to the medical center at University of Tennessee and was in stable condition on Tuesday.

Though Scott's previous charges from 2002 were dismissed after he completed probation, he will be charged with attempted murder, assault, leaving the scene of an accident and other charged may also incur after the results of blood-alcohol tests, the AP reported.
