DICE has confirmed that the delayed patch to fix all of the "Battlefield 4" problems occurring on the Xbox One will finally be rolling out later on Friday.

"We will be rolling out the Xbox One game update today, starting 10 a.m. UTC/2 a.m. PDT. Players may experience some downtime as we upgrade our services. Expect patch notes to become available soon," a post on the Battlefield forums reads.

Essentially, this patch is meant to combine the delayed update originally meant to release on December 2 with other fixes to improve multiplayer and client stability along with the removal of the one-hit kill bug.

While the patch begins to roll out and correct many of the debilitating problems with the game, for some it is too little too late. Earlier this week many people were reporting that the problems with their "Battlefield 4" experience were so bad that Premium users, those who paid extra for the game's exclusive content like future DLC packs, were receiving refunds from Microsoft on the game.

The problems have been so over arching and crippling to the game experience that DICE and EA were forced to put all other projects on hold until all of the problems with "Battlefield 4" were completely fixed. It's likely the developer didn't want to have such a blemish on its record as a game that is useless at launch. The patch for the Xbox One is a big step in the right direction for that goal.

As for Microsoft's Xbox One competitor, Sony, Dice and EA launched a patch a few days ago that fixed many of the same issues as the Xbox One patch. However, in the window between the two launches is when many users began to demand a refund from Microsoft.
