Following the launch of the PlayStation 4 version of "Battlefield 4" there were some pretty glaring issues occurring and now, developer DICE is acknowledging the widespread problems in a blog post. In addition, as a bit of compensation, next week the developer is offering players incentives to stick with them and "Battlefield 4."

The 1.50 firmware update on the PlayStation 4 has caused problems playing certain game types and connecting to a number of servers and even playing properly on the PlayStation Network according to IGN. DICE says that it is hard at work to fix the existing problems and won't move on to any other projects until the issues are completely resolved.

"I am extremely proud of the people at DICE and everyone across EA that contributed to the development of Battlefield 4," Karl Magnus Troedsson, DICE general manager, writes. "However, I am less proud to see that the game has experienced some turbulence during the launch period. While some platforms have had only minor problems, others have had more than their fair share of issues. Resolving the launch issues is our #1 priority."

DICE, in an attempt to show appreciation for its players' "patience," DICE is offering double experience for every multiplayer match played between Nov. 28 and Dec. 5, meaning now is a good time to start preparing to binge play a little bit. DICE will also give any player that logs in on Dec. 5 an M1911 pistol scope, which was previously reserved for DICE developers only.

"You are the heart and soul of Battlefield," Troedsson writes. "We thank you for your support in these early days of the launch, and will continue to show our appreciation as time goes on."
