South Africa will take on Afghanistan in their second match of the International Cricket Council (ICC) Twenty20 World Cup 2016 Sunday at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

The Proteas, who lost their opening WT20 game against England, are looking to register a comeback victory in their must-win encounter against ICC associate nation Afghanistan.

The South Africans were defeated by two wickets by England in the Super10 Group 1 match played at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium Friday night.

Chasing a massive target of 230, England batters led by Joe Root's brilliant's 44-ball 83 run knock chased down the target with two wickets and one ball to spare. Hashim Amla (58), Quinton De Kock (52) and JP Duminy (54 not out) had earlier powered South Africa to 229 for four in twenty overs.

South African all rounder J P Duminy, who scored an unbeaten 54, believed that the loss against England has not affected the team's confidence. "We are by no means out of the tournament. There is a lot of pressure to make sure we win every game but it has been done before. I guess we will take a little confidence from it. It is how we perform on the day and knowing we need to assess the conditions," Duminy said. "They may be different, we've seen it's a little slower in Nagpur. It is just making sure our preparation is on par and give ourselves the best chance."

Afghanistan, which qualified for the WT20 main round after beating ICC full-time member Zimbabwe, lost their Super10 Group 1 opening T20 against defending champions Sri Lanka on Wednesday.
