India Women will take on Pakistan Women in their second Group B encounter of Women's T20 World Cup 2016 Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium in New Delhi on Saturday.

The host, India, and Pakistan are clubbed together with the West Indies, England and Bangladesh in Group B of the 10 nation global twenty20 event. India, England and West Indies began their campaign on a winning note, while Pakistan lost its opening match. Bangladesh stood at the bottom of the points table in the pool with two back-to-back defeats. Australia face South Africa and Ireland face New Zealand in two Group A matches on Friday.

The Indian ladies, who have an excellent winning record against the Pakistani women's cricket team, are considered to have the upper hand over their Pakistani counterparts. The Mithali Raj-led India women also began their WWT20 campaign on a winning note as they handed over a massive defeat to inexperienced Bangladesh women in their opening encounter of the tournament earlier this week.

"We were expecting showers and in this scenario we didn't want to leak too many runs in first five overs, since in a truncated game five overs are cut off point for a result. Our bowlers did well and thereafter, they unleashed a tight line. Yes, our batters and bowlers made the cut for us," Indian skipper Mithali Raj said after winning their first WT20 match.

Pakistan Women, on the other hand, lost its first Group B match by four runs against the West Indies on Wednesday. The Sana Mir-side failed to chase down a modest target of 103 and was restricted to 99 for five in 20 overs.  "It was a good game of cricket, a very close game.  We may have lost but I am happy with the way the girls performed," Pakistan's captain Sana Mir said.

Pakistan Women's opener, Javeria Khan, has been ruled out for WWT20 in a massive blow to Sara Mir-led squad ahead of must win encounter against India. Khan, who fractured her left thumb during Wednesday's match, was discharged from the hospital.
