India will take on arch rival Pakistan in the ninth match of the World T20 Saturday at the historic Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

The confident Pakistan team, which thrashed Bangladesh in their opening WT20 match, is hoping to carry their winning momentum in the tournament. Skipper Shahid Afridi's all round performance guided Pakistan to a massive 55-run victory over Bangladesh at Eden Gardens on Wednesday. He slammed 49 off just 19 balls and picked two key wickets of Shabbir Rahman and Tamim Iqbal.

The 37-year-old Pakistan skipper said that the massive victory against Bangladesh was a morale booster for his teammates ahead of the much awaited showdown between arch rivals India and Pakistan at Eden Gardens. "I don't want to talk about the past, I don't live in past. I think we should learn from our mistakes. We have done well against these guys and India have been playing good cricket, even with the last loss. We won this match and everyone is feeling good after this win," Afridi said after winning their World T20 opener.

The pre-tournament title favorite and host, India, who suffered a humiliating 47-run defeat in WT20 opener on Tuesday, is facing a must-win situation against Pakistan. New Zealand defeated India in the Super10 Group 2 opening match in Nagpur on Tuesday. The spin trio's (Mitchel Santner, Ish Sodhi and Nathan McCullum) nine-wicket haul helped New Zealand defend a modest total of 126 on a spin-friendly pitch.

"After the loss to New Zealand, India will be under far more pressure against Pakistan. I feel Pakistan start as favourites for the game on Saturday," former Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar said ahead of the high-octane India/Pakistan encounter.
