Nutella is one of the most popular treats out there, but Mars just turned its beloved Twix bars into a spread - and there's a very good chance it could be an even bigger deal than Nutella.

Mars recently debuted spreadable Twix, which is a delicious blend of chocolate and caramel with crunchy biscuit pieces mixed in. It's currently only available overseas at Asda stores, but the company has plans to sell the item all across the United Kingdom sometime in the near future.

The company, which is responsible for several chocolate bar favorites like Snickers and Milky Way, also released spreadable versions of Maltesers and Bounty. "They are best enjoyed as a tasty treat, spread over warm toast or a crumpet, dunked with a breadstick, or topped on a cake or waffle," Mars said. While these all sound like brilliant ideas, we can only imagine that it will taste just as good, if not better, on a spoon straight out of the jar.

The Twix spread comes in 200 gram jars that cost £2 and contain 1,122 calories and 104.8 grams of sugar, which is equivalent to a whopping 26 teaspoons of sugar. Turns out, Mars also has a similar Milky Way spread with similar nutritional value, but is also, unfortunately, only available in the U.K.

When word got out about the Twix spread, people, naturally, freaked out on social media.
