Grab your fedora and your whip. Harrison Ford and Steven Spielberg are bringing "Indiana Jones" for one more adventure. Disney has confirmed a fifth "Indiana Jones" movie set to hit the big screen on July 19, 2019.

Ford will reprise his iconic role for the first time since 2008's "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull." Spielberg will return to the director's chair where he has sat for the four previous films. Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall will produce.

"Indiana Jones is one of the greatest heroes in cinematic history, and we can't wait to bring him back to the screen in 2019," said Alan Horn, Chairman, The Walt Disney Studios. "It's rare to have such a perfect combination of director, producers, actor and role, and we couldn't be more excited to embark on this adventure with Harrison and Steven."

The "Indiana Jones" franchise began in 1981 with "Raiders of the Lost Ark," written by Lawrence Kasdan with story by George Lucas and Philip Kaufman. The film was followed up by "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" in 1984, "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" in 1989 and then 19 years later, "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull." The four movies have grossed nearly $2 billion at the box office globally.

Promoting his return to the "Star Wars" universe last fall, Harrison expressed his interest in doing another "Indiana Jones" movie. It's widely known Ford prefers the character of Indy over Han Solo.

"Oh, yeah. Yeah, I'd love to do another Indiana Jones," he said in November. "A character that has a history and a potential, kind of a rollicking good movie ride for the audience, Steven Spielberg as a director - what's not to like?"

Spielberg also confirmed that he would never replace Ford in the role of Jones. Chris Pratt had been rumored as a replacement.

"I don't think anyone could replace Harrison as Indy, I don't think that's ever going to happen," he said in December. "It's certainly not my intention to ever have another actor step into his shoes in the way there have been many actors that have played Spider-Man or Batman. There is only going to be one actor playing Indiana Jones and that's Harrison Ford."

Disney has not revealed any other plot or casting details for the new movie. The fourth film brought back Karen Allen, who starred as Jones' love interest in Marion Ravenwood in "Raiders of the Lost Ark," Shia LaBeouf starred as her grown son. The movie could not coax Sean Connery out of retirement to reprise his role as Professor Henry Jones, Indy's father.
