Mariah Carey's brother has lashed out against the singer for allegedly abandoning their sister, a former prostitute and heroin addict who is battling HIV. Morgan Carey, 51, called out Mariah for walking out on their 54-year-old sister, Alison Carey, and refusing to pay for her medical bills.

Calling her an "evil witch," Morgan said in an interview that in spite of having a net worth of millions of dollars, the "We Belong Together" singer has done nothing to help their "dying" sister and has not made any kind of contact despite their attempts to reach out to the 45-year-old singer.

"[Mariah] probably spends more on dog food than it would cost to make sure her sister gets properly cared for," he said. "Your sister is dying and she is struggling and where are you? You think you are so fabulous, but you are a witch."

"Mariah needs to step up. I flew in from Hawaii last year when Alison was taken off a ventilator, believing she was going to die," he said about Alison Carey, who is required to undergo spine and brain surgery.

"My sister didn't even show up at the hospital," Morgan continued. "Thankfully Alison had a miraculous recovery but now she needs brain and spinal surgery and will be going into hospital any day. Alison has desperately reached out to Mariah over and over again. We never hear back."

Alison Carey made one such attempt in July 2015, when she asked her little sister to help her get out of a New York hospital's psychiatric ward, where she claimed she was being held against her will following a mysterious home attack that left her with a serious head injury.

"Please tell Mariah to get me out of here! She must know what's happened to me! I want out!" she said in an interview at the time.

Morgan also recalled the time he tried to get in touch with Mariah Carey after he and his wife lost their baby.

"I told Mariah my wife had miscarried and she never even responded to that email either," he continued. "But that's typical, because the world has to revolve around Mariah and there is no room in the world apart from her."

"It is so tragic that while she is out flashing her big diamond ring to anyone who will pay attention, she can't lift a finger to help her dying sister," said Morgan, referring to the singer's engagement to Australian billionaire James Pecker in January.

"The money I'm talking about is just small change to these people," Morgan added. "Why isn't our millionaire sister and her billionaire fiancé helping out? I think she could at least manage to put our sister in a good hospital and make sure she gets the care she needs."
