Funnyman Nick Cannon decided to congratulate his ex Mariah Carey on her recent engagement to billionaire James Packer in the best way he knows how- with a hilarious joke!

Cannon, 35, posted a photo of himself from "Real Husbands of Hollywood" lying in a hospital bed with Kevin Hart leaning over him and the words "It's just a ring Nick..." written at the top. "Ha! This made me laugh out loud for real!!! HILARIOUS!" he captioned the meme. "#AllLove Congrats to @MariahCarey and James! May God Bless Your Future Union...#GreatPeople #GreatCouple."

Packer proposed to Carey Thursday night with a 35-carat gorgeous diamond engagement ring after the two had been dating for less than a year. Cannon had filed for divorce from the 45-year-old singer in December 2014 after six years of marriage, though the two continue to co-parent their 4-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe.

"[Nick] is very happy for Mariah," a source close to the entertainer told Hollywood Life. "At the end of the day, he really wants what is best for their kids and he knows that if Mariah is happy, then that is good for everyone. He wants the mother of his children to be in the best mood...[If Mariah's] moving on makes that happen, Nick is totally fine with it."

Apparently, Carey even called Cannon on Thursday afternoon to give him a heads up that she was getting engaged since the two have been getting along so well lately, sources told TMZ. If this is true, it means that she was well aware that Packer was going to propose that night.

While the engagement is great news, there are still some small technical issues for Carey and Packer, as they are both still married. Her and Cannon have not fully settled their financial battle, even though there was a very specific prenup, another source told TMZ. They are currently in the process of resolving these issues so they can finalize the divorce.

Packer is also still married to his ex Erica Packer, who he separated from in 2013. She is currently dating Seal, but the laws in Australia have slowed their divorce process as well.
