ABC handed out a whopping 15 early renewals for the 2016-2017 fall TV season. Freshmen series "Quantico" will return for a sophomore effort and "Once Upon a Time" received a vote of confidence heading into season six and celebrating its 100th episode this Sunday.

A majority of the network's comedies will continue to make audiences laugh including "Modern Family" (season 8), "The Middle" (season 8), "The Goldbergs" (season 4), "Fresh Off the Boat" (season 3) and "Black-ish" (season 3). Despite its struggle in the ratings, "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." will return for a fourth season and ABC has renewed its entire TGIT lineup - "Grey's Anatomy" (season 13), "Scandal" (season 6) and "How to Get Away with Murder" (season 3).

Fans of ABC alternative programming will get another round of "Dancing with the Stars," "The Bachelor" and "Shark Tank." The Alfonso Ribeiro-hosted "America's Funniest Home Videos" will also return for its 27th season.

The early renewals are a change of pace for the network. Former ABC entertainment president Paul Lee never renewed so far in advance during his tenure, but new president Channing Dungey made it first action in office after taking the job two weeks ago.

Cast and crew for many of the ABC shows renewed took to Twitter to celebrate their new season pick ups.
