We already know no person of color will receive an acting award, but Leonardo DiCaprio FINALLY won his first Oscar, 12 years after his first nomination.

"Spotlight" and "The Big Short" won the first Oscars of the night for original and adapted screenplays. "Spotlight" director Todd McCarthy shared the award with Josh Singer, and Adam McKay, best known for comedy, won his award with Charles Randolph.
