"Jagga Jasoos," Anurag Basu's upcoming film starring Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif has been in production for nearly two years now, plagued with delays and re-shoots. The film's leading lady has now revealed that the project's release will be postponed further, according to DNA.

Kaif said in an interview that the film's release, initially scheduled for June 3, will be pushed back to the end of July or August. "'Jagga Jasoos' won't release in June. It will release around July-end or August. That's what the producers have told me. We have about 60-70 more days on 'Jagga Jasoos.' There's a little bit left for the film to be completed," the "Fitoor" actress said.

Kaif then went on to reveal what role she's playing in the film. "If you see the first look, it's very geeky and quirky. And you will be happy to know that I am playing a journalist in the film," she said, according to Bollywood Life.

Kaif and Kapoor will be romancing each other in the film. The on-screen couple recently split up after a six-year long off-screen relationship, as HNGN previously reported. There was even speculation that the couple's break-up contributed to the film's delay.
