Valentine's Day has come and gone yet again, and we hope you're currently enjoying some discounted chocolate or candy. To go along with your 75 percent off bag of chocolate hearts, we want to share some amazing images taken at the Houston Zoo in honor of the day of love.

"It's not just for the birds and the bees! Here at the Houston Zoo, elephants, sea lions, otters, meerkats and more get snuggly for Valentine's Day," said the Zoo on its Facebook page. This photo series isn't the first sign that shows us that the Houston Zoo has a soft spot for Valentine's. Earlier this month, it was announced that a Valentine's Day evening event called Enchantment Under the Sea would be held at the zoo, including dinner and a sea lion show, reported Chron. Sign us up for next year's event!
