Warning: The following contains spoilers for AMC's "The Walking Dead."

"The Walking Dead" returns for the second half of season six this weekend (watch the first four minutes here) and it promises to be action packed and emotional. Those in the know have teased an insane amount of walkers for the midseason premiere, and we know that this half season will again utilize a time jump for storytelling purposes. But on top of that, the season six finale promises to be absolutely gut wrenching and incredible. Star Andrew Lincoln talked about the toll it took on him in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly.

"I felt sick to my stomach when I read the script," Lincoln said. "It was the first day in the whole six years on The Walking Dead that I was late for work because I woke up in the middle of the night and I couldn't get back to sleep. I was so angry and frustrated and I felt sick. And that was just after reading it."

Why did the script inspire such a volatile reaction? Unfortunately, Lincoln wouldn't provide any details. We can assume that the episode is full of death, destruction and mayhem. But if reading the script was such a painful experience, what was filming it like? Lauren Cohen said it was "the hardest" episode to film.

"The word 'finale' gives me a physical reaction because it's the hardest day on set that I've ever had in my life," she said. "I never even imagined that as an actor you could have that experience. It's one of the most raw experiences that I think any of us have ever had. Andy talks about being late to work; I didn't want to go to work that day. It took a really, really long time for everybody to feel okay again after the finale, let's put it that way."

Filming for the second half of season six has been done for some awhile now, so the cast and crew have ample time to absorb whatever goes down in the finale. We know Jeffrey Dean Morgan's Negan - the ultimate big bad from the comics - is going to show up at some point. We also learned of a potentially major spoiler that may be incorporated into season six. Aside from that, we don't know what would make Lincoln sick to his stomach or Cohen not want to show up for work. But we sure are excited to find out.

"The Walking Dead" will return to AMC Sunday, Feb. 14.
