Nevada couple Nick Helms and Jessica Williams thought they were getting a typical Great Dane. However, by 8 weeks old, he was already the size of a six-month-old Lab, and now, at 2 years, he's going for the Guinness World Record for world's tallest living dog. He's 167 pounds and stands 7 feet tall on his hind legs, according to DogTime.

The video below, uploaded by TodoAllTvChannel, shows just how enormous this dog is. He can drink from the tap without even having to hop, he's much taller than either of his owners, and takes up way more room on the couch. He's super smart, too! Watch as he opens the door to get into the house:

Great Danes often think they're much smaller than they are, and act like enormous lap dogs, says DogTime. Luckily, this Great Dane is no exception, and he's even friendlier and kinder than most dogs.

Rocko is an emotional and sensitive pup. "He's a big softie, he'll cry at the TV if another animal is getting hurt. I think he's more emotionally connected than most dogs," says Williams, according to The Daily Mail.

The Great Dane's size was definitely a surprise to his family.

"We didn't realize he was going to be so big. He was so big we were like- oh my God, is he half Dane or half pony? What's going on here?" said Helms, according to ABC 7 News.

We hope he gets the Guinness World Records title! He certainly seems to deserve it.
