While Lady Gaga used to be friends with celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, after the superstar allegedly refused to answer personal questions for him, the two had a falling out, and in a new interview with USA Today, she further opened up about their ongoing issues.

GossipCop reports that in recent months, the two former pals have been sparring online, including on Twitter, with Perez mocking Gaga's serious hip injury, posting nude photos of her and accusing her of abusing drugs. Most recently, Gaga was shocked to learn that Perez was allegedly trying to buy a New York City apartment in the same building as hers, and accused him of harassment and stalking.

"It's fine to hate me afar. Everyone can hate me from afar. But the second you try to move in next door to me, I know you're getting too close, and it's not safe," the star told USA Today. "Already it's stressful not feeling safe as it is. I have lots of security. I get death threats all the time. Some things bring out the New Yorker in me. If you hate somebody and you want to move next door to me, the only thing I can think of is that you're moving in because you want to blow yourself up. There's thousands and millions of apartments in New York. You don't need to move in next door to me."

Though Perez did not respond to USA Today's request for comment, he did fire back on Twitter, writing: "I've got my son and mom here with me in NYC and you think I'm going to blow myself up? Stop doing drugs!!"

Soon after, he took it a step further with a tweet to the star's parents: "If your daughter ends up dead, it's from a drug overdose. Not cuz I blew us up!... She's sick and delusional!" He then urged fans to buy Christina Aguilera's "Bionic" album instead of Gaga's new record, "ARTPOP," which hit stores earlier this week.

During Lady Gaga's latest interview with Howard Stern, the "Applause" singer addressed the feud with Perez further, even bringing Madonna, whom Perez has accused Gaga of trying to become, into the mix.

"I don't really care anymore," she told Stern. "It's so ridiculous at this point. It's such nonsense. And, you know, the whole thing is really rooted in Madonna. That's sort of the center of it and no one has really said that or admitted to it. It's silly. There's always this pissing match: Did she take her torch, you know, is she the new her? Is she going to outlast her or not? And there's this thing with some people that I'm a 'threat to the throne' and I don't want your ... throne. And no thanks, and I have my own. And I don't actually want a throne at all because I don't view myself as a queen. I view myself as one of my fans and that's it."
