The Aussie side has already clinched the series. It has acquired an unassailable 4-0 lead over the Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led Indian side.

The Steve Smith-led side clinched the series by winning third ODI, played at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Sunday, according to Stuff NZ. They also registered a comfortable win in the fourth ODI played at Manuka Oval in Canberra on Tuesday.

The dominant hosts are now eyeing India ODI series whitewash.

"The challenge now is to finish five-zip. Every game is important, whether it's 5-0, or 4-1, or 3-2 it doesn't matter when you are playing cricket for Australia, you actually want to win every game you play," Aussie coach Darren Lehmann said, according to ABC.

"We've got a job to do and entertain the crowd along the way. For us it's a chance to show our skills off," he added.

India, on the other hand, is hoping to salvage pride by winning final ODI of the series. Australia is hosting India for five ODIs and three T20Is. Both sides are keen to use the both series for the International Cricket Council (ICC) T20 world cup scheduled in March and April.
