A Florida man was arrested in San Diego for stealing $3.2 million in cash from the storage facility of the company he worked for in Miami, authorities revealed on Sunday.

Jose Arguto, 37, who has been serving as the manager for armored car company Brinks since September, was caught via surveillance footage entering the vault where the money was kept, according to Reuters.

The suspect was then seen carting off two bags filled with cash that weighed 50 pounds, exited the vault and went to the trunk of his car minutes later.

Right after he finished his shift, he left his resignation letter and service weapon at the desk, according to court papers. Authorities were able to retrieve some money but did not say how much was retrieved, according to AOL.

Arguto is currently detained at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in San Diego. He will stay there until he will make an appearance before the U.S. Magistrate Judge on Jan. 11, according to CBS Miami.
