Anushka Sharma has been signed as Salman Khan's love interest in the upcoming film "Sultan," the film's official Twitter account confirmed Friday, according to Bollywood Life.

After a great deal of speculation about the film's leading lady, "Sultan's" Twitter handle finally tweeted a picture of Sharma hugging the "Dabangg" actor Friday night. The post was captioned, "Meet Sultan's Leading Lady!" along with the hashtag "‪#SultanLeadingLady."

Sharma, who made her acting debut in 2008, starring alongside the King Khan of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan, also took to Instagram to share the adorable photo. Salman Khan will be the third Khan that Sharma has previously worked with, including Aamir Khan, with whom she was featured alongside in "PK," according to The Hindustan Times.

The film, produced by Aditya Chopra and written and directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, also stars Randeep Hooda and is based on the life of a wrestler. Salman Khan underwent intense training under the guidance of international action director Larnell Stovall, whose credits include Hollywood films like "Creed" and "Captain America: Civil War," according to The Indian Express.

"Sultan," has been shot in Karjat and is slated to hit theaters this Eid.
