Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and Romanian beauty Lulia Vantur are going to make their relationship official soon, according to reports. Khan is planning to make an announcement about his relationship with his rumored girlfriend on his 50th birthday on Dec. 27, according to Bollywood Life. Khan will also officially introduce Vantur as his girlfriend to his family at a birthday bash to be held at his Mumbai farmhouse.

There have been speculations on Khan's marriage since his acquittal in the 2002 hit-and-run case earlier this month. The Bombay High Court acquitted Khan of all charges in the crash that left two homeless people dead.

"Every time his parents raised the question of his marriage, Salman would turn around to say, 'What would I tell my wife if the court cases go against me? What would she tell our child? That the father is in jail?' Salman wanted to be out of the legal tangles before marrying. Now that the verdict is out in his favour, the coast is clear for his marriage," a source close to Khan's family told DNA India.

Vantur, 34, reportedly met Khan's family during a recent visit to India. She was also recently spotted with Khan a day before his acquittal. She was seen at many family functions, including Khan's sister's wedding ceremony, as HNGN previously reported.

Khan, who has been linked with several actresses in the past, including Aishwarya Rai and Katrina Kaif, is currently hosting the controversial celebrity reality show "Bigg Boss 9." He is also busy shooting his next film, "Sultan," according to Mid Day.
