Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon dismissed the reports that she was offered role of lead female actor in Salman Khan's next "Sultan" by Yash Raj Films.

"I'd like to clarify again that I have not been offered 'Sultan'. So the question of YRF putting any conditions doesn't arise," Kriti said Thursday, according to IANS.

There were speculations that Sanon had declined Yash Raj Films (YRF)'s offer to work in "Sultan" opposite Khan, according to bollywoodlife.

Sanon's recently released "Dilwale," starring Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan, Kajol and Varun Dhawan, has earned nearly Rs 90 crore within five days its release and likely to continue its successful stint at the box office in India.

There have been lot of speculations about the lead female actor in Salman Khan's next "Sultan." Earlier names of Parineeti Chopra, Kangana Ranaut, Deepika Padukone, Mandana Karimi and Mrunal Thakur were cropped up to play the female lead in the biopic, according to India Today.

Director Ali Abbas Zaffar began the shooting movie in the last week of November. But makers still have to finalised the lead female actor of the movie.

"The names of a number of actresses floated around, but nothing has been finalised yet. We are still working on it and an announcement will be made soon. We have begun shooting so that we meet our deadline as the release date has already been announced and we do not want to delay the project," said a source close to YRF said, according to Times of India.

"Sultan" is scheduled to hit the theatres on the Eid next year. It will clash with Shahrukh Khan's Raees, which was also confirmed for Eid 2016 release.
