Janet Jackson said Wednesday that she does not have cancer, responding to rumors that she was suffering from throat cancer after she postponed her tour due to health reasons, according to People.

The "Rhythm Nation" singer took to Twitter on Wednesday to share a two-minute video clip of her track "The Great Forever," which ended with a personal message that denied the false rumors and assured fans that she was getting better.

"Remember... believe it when you hear it from my lips," she wrote, according to CBS News. "The rumors are untrue. I do not have cancer. I'm recovering."

Jackson added that her doctors have informed her that she can go ahead with her concerts in Europe and that the postponed shows will be rescheduled.

The 49-year-old singer announced in December via Instagram that she would be delaying her "Unbreakable World Tour" in order to undergo surgery, as HNGN previously reported.

"Hey you guys... Happy Holidays to each and every one of you. I need you to know, I learned today, from my doctors that I must have surgery soon. It breaks my heart to tell you that I am forced to postpone the Unbreakable Tour until the spring," Jackson wrote at the time.

"Please pray for me, my family and our entire company during this difficult time. There will be no further comment. I love you all so much and am ever grateful for your understanding and your love. Gon' b alright," she added.
