Another drama-filled season of MTV's "Teen Mom OG" premiered with a two-episode special on Monday night, and the four original girls returned with a whole new set of problems. Maci Bookout struggled to persuade her ex-boyfriend, Ryan Edwards, to step up as a father; Amber Portwood took the first step in a custody battle with her ex-fiancé, Gary Shirley; Farrah Abraham insulted her mother and her boyfriend; and Catelynn Lowell and her fiancé Tyler Baltierra prepared for their upcoming wedding.

Maci Bookout

Bookout and her live-in boyfriend, Taylor McKinney, announced her pregnancy in the previous season, and they introduced their daughter, Jayde Carter, for the first time on MTV during the season premiere. Bookout also explained in the first episode that she had a change of heart and allowed her 7-year-old son Bentley to appear on the show after pulling him last season when she learned of cast member Abraham's return. In an attempt to strengthen their co-parenting skills, Bookout invited Edwards on a "mud run" with her, McKinney and a group of friends. Edwards initially agreed to join, but backed out last minute.

In the second episode, Bookout and McKinney worked on redecorating Bentley's room as a surprise when he returned from Edward's home for his weekend visit. Edwards told Bentley about his new room, which ruined the surprise and upset Bookout. After learning that Edwards isn't home during his weekends with Bentley plus Edwards' absence on Bentley's first day of first grade, Bookout vowed to stop letting her son spend every weekend with his father and his paternal grandparents.

Amber Portwood

After being released from prison where she underwent rehab for prescription pills, Portwood seemed to be getting along fine and she even moved into a new home with her live-in boyfriend, Matt Baier, but she struggled with the inconsistent custody arrangement for her daughter, Leah. After Leah returned from a family vacation with her dad, Amber's ex-fiancé Shirley, Leah suddenly expressed that she no longer wanted to visit Amber. At Baier's suggestion, Amber met with a lawyer to go over her options as she prepared to fight for 50/50 custody.

Leah's strange behavior continued into the second episode and the 6-year-old wasn't excited to see her mom on her first day of first grade even though Amber made it a point to be there for her daughter. Shirley agreed to bring Leah to Portwood's house after school, but he called and said Leah refused to visit her mom again. "It just makes me feel like I'm a bad mom," Portwood told Baier. "Like I've done something wrong."

Catelynn Lowell

Lowell and her fiancé Baltierra have been together for ten years after meeting as young teens, and the couple is  finally ready to tie the knot. Baltierra's father, Butch, was released from jail just two weeks before the nuptials - just in time to be a part of their wedding.

Cameras documented Lowell's last wedding dress fitting in the second episode, and she told producers that she was still happy and excited to walk down the aisle even though she failed to meet her 60-pound weight loss goal before the ceremony. The pair also planned a bachelor and bachelorette party and - despite Lowell's suggestion of having a joint bar crawl - Baltierra suggested separate parties so he could go to a strip club. They compromised, opting for separate parties earlier in the evening, then meeting up later in the night to bar hop.

Farrah Abraham

Abraham broke up with her boyfriend Simon Saran just two weeks before filming for the season began, but she told cameras she missed him and regretted the split. Cameras followed along during an awkward conversation between the exes, but the pair later met up at a mutual friend's wedding and had a good time. The next day, Saran sent flowers to Abraham's room along with a dinner invitation later that night. But what was supposed to be a romantic reconciliation turned sour and Abraham insulted her on-again, off-again boyfriend, calling him a "b----" and a "piece of sh--."

Her nasty attitude was extended to her mother Debra in the second episode, first after Debra tried to set Abraham up with a nice-looking young man, then during dinner when Abraham called her mother a "b----," as previously reported by HNGN. Abraham's harsh words were enough to make Debra cry.
