On the season premiere of TLC's hit reality TV series "Kate Plus 8," Kate Gosselin took her eight children on a family vacation to Florida to the family-friendly beaches of Emerald Coast. During their first few days, the kids enjoyed a beach trip, a team-building activity at an Escape Zone fun center and a Korean barbecue dinner, and Kate even caught her teenage twin daughters Mady and Cara flirting with boys for the first time.

Before the family could pack up for its trip, Kate took her set of 11-year-old sextuplets Aaden, Collin, Joel, Leah, Hannah and Alexis to a local department store so that they could each pick out their own suitcases. Kate said that this is the sextuplets' first time being in charge of packing their own luggage, a task she was nervous to hand off to the tweens.

But her older daughter Mady helped the younger girls pack outfits for their trip, and with a little help from mom and sister Hannah, the boys were packed as well. The family left bright and early with nanny Andrea and the twin's best friend Marley in two, heading off to the airport and jet-setting down to Florida's Emerald Coast.

Once they arrived, the kids enjoyed a day at the beach, where Kate and Andrea caught the twins and Marley flirting with three teenage boys, as previously reported by HNGN.

"Mady was flirting and I don't think she realized it," Kate said in her on-camera interview. "These are the very first moments of probably many more to come."

The twins were able to take their mind off boys long enough to participate in a team-building activity at the Escape Zone, an indoor fun center where groups and families are locked in a room together and given the task of solving a puzzle in 60 minutes, in order to figure out the code to unlock the door and escape. The employees informed the Gosselins that only 30 percent of people successfully solve each puzzle and make it out before the time is up.

After an hour of yelling and arguing, the family was able to work together to solve the puzzle with just two seconds to spare, and Kate was proud of her brood for being able to beat the odds.

She treated her kids to a home-cooked Korean barbecue dinner and explained that celebrating her children's heritage is important to her, as they are a quarter Korean since their father Jon (Kate's ex-husband) is half-Korean. Kate said that she looked up the recipe online and was surprised that the meal turned out well, so well that the kids agreed that she should keep the recipe in her dinner-time meal plans.

"I love my kids," Kate said in her on-camera interview. "I love who they are, I love where they're from. I have supported that all along, I want them to look at who they are as a good thing and they're beautiful because they're my kids."
