Farrah Abraham is adopting a second child. The 24-year-old "Teen Mom OG" star, who is already mom of 6-year-old daughter Sophia, has made the decision to expand her family.

"I'm happy to confirm I'm moving forward in my adoption process," she told Us Weekly. "This means I will be making some changes in my career to welcome a new addition to my family. Very excited, and this feels so right. I'm very blessed for this opportunity."

"Every neighbor of mine was adopted and they also did foster care," she also told OK! Magazine of her decision. "I grew up around that. I'm very passionate...Sophia is in the right frame of mind and is very supportive as well. She is very open and accepting to understanding that someone else had other parents, and we would be their second parent and be a loving family to them."

Sophia's father, Derek Underwood, passed away in a car accident in February 2009, just two months before Sophia was born. Abraham first hinted that she wanted to expand her family on social media last month on World Adoption Day.

"Let's embrace the power and beauty that family brings with adoption," she captioned a selfie. "I hope soon Sophia and I can make a world of difference by bringing home a baby brother or sister for Sophia. I always have been passionate about adoption as it means so much to me, my family, my community, my church and my heart thank you to all the parents who have adopted and to all the amazing children with their loving families. God bless."

In the latest clip for the upcoming season of "Teen Mom OG," Abraham gets involved in a heated argument with the executive producer, which might have something to do with the changes in her career that she was talking about. "I don't need to be a part of a trashy-ass show anymore," she yells. "Cause I make millions of dollars doing other s--t. What a dumb, twisted mother f---ker."
