Next year looks to be full of many highly anticipated films, including the "Harry Potter" spinoff "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them." In the past couple of months, fans have gotten their first glimpse of star Eddie Redmayne, who plays Newt Scamander, and other cast members like Katherine Waterson, who plays Tina Goldstein, and Dan Fogler as Jacob Kowalski.

In Entertainment Weekly's First Look edition, the magazine released another all new picture from the "Fantastic Beasts" film. The picture shows Newt, Tina and Jacob in a hallway. Jacob is in the lead as he wears a worrisome expression as he prepares to enter a doorway.

The magazine also spoke to "Fantastic Beasts" producer David Heyman about casting Redmayne as Newt. Heyman and director David Yates, who worked together on the final four "Harry Potter" films, had a difficult time finding the right actor to play "the globetrotting 1920s magizoologist who carries with him a weathered case of creatures," but they did not want someone too famous. Redmayne was fresh off his Best Actor win at the Academy Awards for "The Theory of Everything" when he accepted the role.

"He's good at playing outsiders; Newt is a bit of an eccentric, and we felt Eddie could do that with truth," Heyman explained.

The "Fantastic Beasts" screenplay was written by "Harry Potter" author J.K. Rowling and is based off of her 2001 encyclopedia of magical creatures from the wizarding world, as HNGN previously reported. The film is set 70 years before Harry ever step foot inside Hogwarts in New York City in 1926.

The film also stars Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, Colin Farrell, Samantha Morton, Jon Voight and Ron Perlman.

"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" will be released in theaters on Nov. 18, 2016.
