The Milwaukee Bucks have lost each of their last two games in blowout fashion and at this point, with their 10-17 record, they realize they need to make some sort of change. The Bucks are an extremely young team that lost a lot of leadership from last years playoff team so they believe they need to bring in some sort of veteran leader to change their fortunes. The Bucks have been linked to Caron Butler trade talks, which still seems likely to happen, and now they are considering signing Carlos Boozer, according to Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports.

The Bucks met with Boozer earlier this week to talk about a possible deal and the meeting between Boozer, head coach Jason Kidd and general manager John Hammond was reportedly positive. There is no word on whether a deal is imminent but the Bucks are looking for some depth in their frontcourt at the moment and Boozer kills two birds with one stone as he has also been in the league for 13 years.

As of right now the Bucks frontcourt is extremely thin as they have been playing without Greg Monroe for the past couple of games and the only real production they have gotten from big men off the bench all season has come from John Henson. Milwaukee is a team that likes to play small with Jabari Parker regularly playing power forward but their regular rotation still does include three big men and the third big man, Johnny O'Bryant, is not getting it done through 27 games.

Boozer played with the Los Angeles Lakers last season, in what ended up being an awful season for the team, but he showed he can still be productive. In 71 games Boozer averaged 11.8 points and 6.8 rebounds per game and at the age of 34 he is still capable of helping a team off the bench.

Boozer was a free agent this offseason and garenered some interest from NBA teams and teams overseas but he decided he was going to wait to sign. Boozer never had any intentions of retiring but he was hoping that he would be able to join a team with a chance to win in the middle of the season. The Bucks don't look like they are that team right now but maybe if they add Boozer they can turn things around.
