On Tuesday almost every player in the NBA has become eligible to be traded so although there have been a bunch of trade rumors floated around already they should pick up even more now. The Milwaukee Bucks have been involved in a few trade rumors with some lower level players including reportedly shopping Miles Plumlee but now they are involved a rumor where they could acquire someone. There is a report suggesting that the Bucks might be interested in bringing back Caron Butler in a trade with the Sacramento Kings, according to Gary Woelfel of the Racine Journal Times.

Butler signed with the Kings this offseason on a minimum deal to provide some punch and leadership off the bench but so far that hasn't worked out as he doesn't have a role and the team is still in shambles. Butler has a player option for next season with the Kings but it is highly unlikely he picks that up so based on that and the fact that he has no use to the Kings it would make sense if he is available.

Butler did play for the Bucks briefly back in the 2013-14 season when he appeared in 34 games and actually played pretty well for them after being acquired via trade from the Phoenix Suns. The Bucks though, decided to throw in the towel early in that season so Butler and Milwaukee mutually decided to part ways and reached a buyout agreement before he ultimately signed with the Oklahoma City Thunder later that year.

Now the Bucks are not a tanking team, they are actually a playoff caliber team with some pretty lofty expectations after last season but they are underachieving. Milwaukee lost a lot of leadership off last year's sixth seed in the Eastern Conference in Zaza Pachulia and Jared Dudley and that is where Butler could come into play. Butler would not only provide leadership to a team in desperate need of it but he could also play a role as a backup playing limited minutes as he still has some game left despite the fact that he is out of the Kings rotation.

Acquiring Butler in a trade likely won't take much from the Bucks as his value isn't exactly high right now so this seems like a no brainer for Milwaukee. The question is whether Sacramento would be willing to part ways with him and there doesn't seem to be a reason they wouldn't be willing so this could be a good trade pairing.
