The Milwaukee Bucks have been one of the biggest disappointments in the NBA so far this season, as they are 9-14 and near the bottom of the Eastern Conference. The Bucks have a young core that has struggled so far this season, so hearing the team pop up in trade rumors shouldn't come as much of a surprise. It is being reported now that the Bucks are shopping backup center Miles Plumlee, according to Marc Stein of ESPN.

The Bucks might feel that they are in need of a change after the rough start, but unfortunately putting Plumlee on the block won't be the splash they desire. Plumlee has appeared in just 15 of Milwaukee's 23 games this season and is averaging just 6.3 minutes during those games, so he is clearly not a part of what the team is trying to do.

Plumlee is stuck behind Greg Monroe and John Henson on a team that generally likes to play small anyway, so the playing time just hasn't been there. Plumlee is set to become a restricted free agent after this season, but based on his lack of playing time this season it is hard to imagine that he would garner much interest.

A trade might be in Plumlee's best interest, as he has proven in the past that he could be a solid rotational big, as he is athletic and plays good defense. Plumlee started 79 games for the Suns two seasons ago and had a role with them last season too before being brought to Milwaukee in the Brandon Knight-Michael Carter-Williams trade, where his playing time dried up.

Milwaukee just isn't a good fit for Plumlee, but what the Bucks have done is diminish his value as much as possible, so Plumlee likely won't be able to get it much more than a second round pick in a trade. That still might be worth it for the Bucks, as Plumlee is just a handcuff against injury right now, but teams with a need for depth in the frontcourt should definitely take a look at Plumlee, as he is a solid player who will now likely come at an extremely discounted price.
