Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders joined the "Tonight Show" host Jimmy Fallon Tuesday night to talk about Donald Trump, New York City and of course play a game. Last night was Sanders first time on the late night talk show, and Fallon almost immediately brought up Trump.

Sanders is originally from Brooklyn, and the Trump is originally from Queens. Fallon suggested that if they both won their party's nominations, then they could have a "battle of the New York boys" in 2016. Fallon the asked Sanders what his thoughts were on controversial plan to ban all Muslims from entering the United States.

"What somebody like Trump is trying to do is divide us up," said Sanders. "A few months ago we were supposed to hate Mexicans, and he thinks they're all criminals or rapists. Now we're supposed to hate Muslims - and that kind of crap is not going to work in the United States of America."

"I think what the American people understand given the problems that we face," Sanders continued. "We've got to stand together, come together and create decent money for all of our people and stop this scapegoating of one group or another."

While Sanders said he was confident that he could beat Trump in an election, he added that he had to get past Hillary Clinton first.

"I look forward to beating Donald Trump," Sanders said of the general election. "I will enjoy that race very, very much. But first we've got to get past Secretary Clinton, and I think we will do that as well."

Before Sanders departed, he played a game with Fallon called "The Whisper Challenge," in which they both had to guess what the other person was saying while listening to loud music through a headphone.
