The CW’s “Reign” aired Thursday and there is scandal everywhere. If the show continues to expand on a few things, it will be great. Nevertheless, the series premiere left us with a few questions:

No. 1—Who is Mary’s mysterious ally?

If not for the girl with the creepy shadow who escaped behind the trap door, the show would be have been over in the first 20 minutes. Thankfully Mary’s (Adelaide Kane) faceless friend was there and kept her from drinking the wine. Will we get to meet her soon? What is her connection to Mary?

No. 2—What is Francis so afraid of?

Francis (Toby Regbo) obviously wants to marry his childhood friend Mary. However, he seems to be really scared and worried for his country. Why doesn’t he just forget all that and be with the love of his life? It’s not like he knows the Nostradamus (Rossif Sutherland) vision that Mary will lead to his death. As long as he never finds out or the seer happens to be wrong this one time, they should have no problem being together.

No. 3—What is Bash’s Plan?

I have a feeling Bash (Torrance Coombs) isn’t trying to spit serious game to Mary because he likes her or just because he is trying to take her away from Francis. I think he has a bigger plan. What could it be?

No. 4—Will one of Mary’s friends betray her?

Lola (Anna Popplewell) was already mad at Mary for the death of Lola’s boyfriend. Is it possible she could turn against Mary? Or could Queen Catherine (Megan Follows) use one of the ladies-in-waiting against her?

“Reign” airs Thursdays at 9/8c on The CW.
