Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn found herself in the hospital this weekend after she tried to play peacemaker between her dogs, who were battling over a Frisbee.

While being hospitalized, the 31-year-old athlete took to Twitter and Instagram to show off her bloody hand and share a video of herself being treated in a hospital room for the injuries.

"So the story is that my dogs got rowdy fighting over a dang Frisbee and I tried to break it up but got bit instead. Fun weekend," Vonn tweeted on Saturday.

Despite her condition, Vonn seemed to be in good spirits following her injury, even joking that she makes an amazing Jimmy Fallon-inspired Halloween costume (the joke was in relation to Fallon taking a tumble when accepting an award at Harvard University last month).

"Tried to break up my dogs fighting over a frisbee and this is what I get...an amazing @jimmyfallon belated Halloween costume! Thx @leoandbearvonn thx Dr. Viola for fixing me!!!" read the caption alongside the video.

In response to Lindsey's post, the TV personality tweeted, "@lindseyvonn Oh no! I was faking mine. You should've called me first! #quickrecovery." Vonn jokingly replied, "Well I should get an A for effort at least #definitelyshouldhavecalled."

However, the injuries did not keep Vonn down for long. The following day, she posted an Instagram video of herself back on the snowy slopes, with the caption, "Dog bite is fine," with a thumbs up emoji.

Vonn has been healing from a broken left ankle suffered in a crash during training in August. Her injuries kept her out of the season-opening World Cup giant slalom in Austria last month. She recently announced that she feels ready to race.
