Tiger Woods and Lindsey Vonn have called it quits.

Woods announced the split in a personal message on his website on Sunday. Vonn also confirmed the news on her Facebook. The 39-year-old golfer had been dating the 30-year-old Olympic skier for three years.

The couple "mutually decided" to go their separate ways. They also both blamed their "hectic lives" as the catalyst behind their break up.

"I have great admiration, respect and love for Lindsey and I'll always cherish out time together. She has been amazing with Sam and Charlie and my entire family," Woods wrote. "Unfortunately, we lead very hectic lives and are both competing in demanding sports. It's difficult to spend time together."

Vonn echoed his thoughts in her own message.

"I will always cherish the memories that we've created together," she wrote. "I will always admire and respect Tiger. He and his beautiful family will always hold a special place in my heart."

Woods shares his two children with ex-wife and former Swedish model, Elin Nordegren. He and Nordegren divorced in 2010 after their marriage was rocked by his infidelity.

Vonn was previously married to fellow Olympic skier Thomas Vonn from 2007 to 2013.
