David Bahnson, from Vermont, loves to spend time with his dogs. He takes them on planes, boats and cars, but not kayaks, which is something he enjoys thoroughly. There wasn't any room for the dogs, until now.

Bahnson came up with the perfect solution, which was to turn the baggage department into a doggie seat. But since he has two dogs, he made two seats, according to Bored Panda. It was a perfect solution, and the dogs couldn't be more thrilled to spend time with daddy.

"Our dogs have always loved to travel with us... building a way for them to kayak with us just seemed like a logical choice, and the boats are fun to build anyway," said Bahnson, according to Cottage Life.

"I decided to just build another identical hull but to modify the baggage compartments to accommodate both dogs, adding coamings to both instead of the flat opening for a baggage compartment."

"They get excited when we'd pull the kayaks out and see that we were going," Bahnson said about his goldens, Susie and Ginger. "They just really enjoy going places."

"They are trained to get in the kayak themselves on command. They sit down, and off we go. When we come ashore, they'll stay seated until I tell them it's OK to get out. They never hopped out into the water, actually," Bahnson added, The Dodo reported. However, being goldens, Susie and Ginger are strong swimmers.

"We've seen other people kayaking with their dogs, but they usually have them in the cockpit with them. That's kind of awkward, so this just worked out better," added Bahnson. "They each have a little dedicated space, and they just sit and enjoy the ride."

"I love my dogs. I love training them, the companionship. We've gone miles and miles of paddling with our dogs," he said. "They just really enjoy going places."
