Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has a strange-looking dog. As seen in his Facebook posts, Beast is covered with an unusual, heavy coat of white cords that could mop the floor.

The popular 2-year-old dog has his own Facebook Page under the name Beast Zuckerberg where has has more than 2 million fans.

Beast is Zuckerberg's regular companion when the CEO is reading a book. Zuckerberg is joining A Year Of Books, a community that decides on a new book to read and discuss every two weeks.

The furry creature is also present in family pictures taken during momentous celebrations - and shared to the world. The social media mogul has been raving about how unique his dog is.

Beast is a rare white Puli, a breed of Hungarian sheepdog that is usually black. These mid-sized canines are very smart and agile, capable of guiding and herding sheep, goats and chickens. Their thick skin is meant to protect them while fighting wolves.

Pulis are loyal, steady and dependable. They are very protective creature, and sometimes, that can be a problem.

These courageous creatures should be supervised around other kids and next door neighbors. That is why Puli are better raised in farms and countryside homes, rather than in cozy apartments. It's also advisable to train them while young.

Puli can be tender creatures around their human families and recognize their family's children and are patient toward them. Like other dogs, they want to sit on their human's feet and lean their weight against the person's leg. And they're very heavy.

One last thing: Pulis are like heavy fur coats that you can't machine wash. Keep them dry and clean or you'll spend hours bathing them. Good luck with drying them afterward.
