A family from Michigan have lost their youngest son after he saved his friend from a hit-and-run early Sunday morning. Ryan Tsatsos' death marks another tragedy for the Tsatsos family, as another son, Daryl, 19, died in a three-car crash that is under investigation to this day. The death of Ryan has left Paul and Julie Tsatsos with no children.

Ryan Tsatsos, 17, of Macomb County died a hero when he pushed his friend from a speeding car, getting struck himself and hitting a ditch after he flew 30 feet.

Tsatsos, who was studying criminal justice at Central Michigan University, was on his way home to his residence hall when he was struck, according to the New York Daily News.

"He was loving and caring," said Julie Tsatsos, according to Fox2Detroit. "He loved his friends and his family and would do anything for anyone."

Students at the campus have long complained about the area where the accident took place because there are no sidewalks and it is badly lit. Police are trying to locate the car that struck Ryan, a dark, old-model car with four doors and damage to its front.

"Please come forward if you know anything - if you think you know anything - tell police, tell someone, tell anyone," Paul Tsastos pleaded.

Meanwhile, Ryan's friends have set up a GoFundMe account to help the couple pay for the funeral expenses, which has since raised more than $16,000 and continues to gain funds.
