OnePlus has been disrupting the mobile phone market by offering flagship-caliber smartphones for less. The incredibly popular OnePlus One and its latest iteration, OnePlus 2, have won the hearts of both fans and experts alike and helped change the way smartphones are built and sold in the market today. Now, the Chinese smartphone maker has released a new phone called OnePlus X. Is it a product worthy of the OnePlus tradition? You bet it is!

The very first thing that comes to mind when handling the OnePlus X is that it is solid and quite premium as it is dominated by Gorilla glass construction, including its back (although there is also a ceramic variant). The impressive hardware sports an iPhone-esque metal edge, but the similarity ends there.

Oneplus did not cut corners on the X's internals. The phone has 1080p resolution, which is also Oneplus' first AMOLED screen, according to Stuff. It has a maximum speed of 2.3 Ghz running Snapdragon 801 processor and is available in 2 and 3 GB of RAM models. The 13 MP camera is fast, posting a 0.2 second detect autofocus and its selfie camera is a whopping 8 MP shooter.

Some features that will appeal to a great number of Android fans include a 5-inch display, external storage support and a decent battery life at 2,450 mAh capacity.

OnePlus X is now available for preorders without an invite system at Gearbest. It costs $295.99. The company is also offering an extended warranty program called On-Guard in Europe, according to NDTV.
