Holiday dinners with family almost always include a bottle of red wine for the adults. But did you know that aside from enjoying it in a glass, you can also use red wine as a facial mask?

Red wine contains resveratrol, a compound that is known to bring beneficial effects to the heart, according to Micronutrient Information Center. Resveratrol is also an anti-aging agent, according to the National Health Institute, and when mixed with other natural ingredients, it can clear away skin blemishes, redness and acne, as well as moisturize the skin.

To make a red wine facial mask, you'll need:

- A small cup of yogurt, which has probiotics that can improve the skin, according to New York magazine.

- 2 tablespoons of raw organic honey, a popular natural treatment for inflammation and redness, according to Men's Journal.

- 5 tablespoons of red wine

Simply mix all the ingredients together in a clean bowl. Then lather this on your skin and let it stand for 15 minutes. Rinse off with water.

Do this at least once a week — or until the wine runs out!
