A Muslim woman is accusing staff from the popular chain restaurant TGI Friday's of tricking her into eating pork in the form of bacon, a food that her religion forbids her to eat, the Detroit Free Press reports.

Nicole Queen wrote about the incident on Facebook before it was picked up by and published in "The Muslim Voice" blog. Queen alleges that last week in Garland, Tex. at a TGI Friday's, she ordered a cobb salad and asked that her waiter remove the bacon. The waiter agreed to the request, but didn't seem happy about it, and reportedly was very cold with Queen and her fellow Muslim friend.

Queen, who converted to Islam six years ago and has eaten bacon before, says that another waiter offered her a free tea refill, and although she thought it may be a form of apologizing for the former rude staff member, when she sipped it, she immediately tasted bacon bits in her mouth.

"I knew right away that it was bacon," Queen told local ABC affiliate WFAA. "And I knew right away that it had been placed in my straw because that was the the first thing that went into my mouth."

The restaurant manager apparently didn't believe her, though a spokesperson for the chain restaurant told WFAA that if the allegations are true, it would "represent a gross violation of our values and the promise we make to each our our guests."

TGI Friday's responded publically to the alleged incident on Facebook, noting that they are investigating the claim and assuring customers that they "don't tolerate discrimination in any form."

"We want everyone to have a great time at Friday's," the chain wrote Wednesday on their Facebook page. "We launched an investigation around what happened yesterday and will take appropriate actions and update as more information becomes available."
