Filming may already be underway on the set of the "Harry Potter" spinoff "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them," but the fantasy film has added another veteran actor to the already impressive cast.

"Sons of Anarchy" star Ron Perlman has joined the film, set in J.K. Rowling's wizarding world. Perlman is set to play a goblin in the film, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The movie started production in August at Leavesden Studios in England, and stars Academy Award-winning actor Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander. Scamander is the world's leading "magizoologist" who comes to New York City to find and document magical creatures. The events in "Fantastic Beasts" take place about 70 years before Harry Potter was born, in the 1920's.

The news of Perlman's casting comes days after it was announced that Jon Voight was also joining the Rowling-penned film. In addition to Redmayne, Perlman and Voight, the movie also stars Colin Farrell, Katherine Waterston, Ezra Miller, Dan Fogler and Samantha Morton.

The "Fantastic Beasts" film was written by Rowling herself and will be directed by David Yates, who is responsible for the final four films in the "Harry Potter" series. The film is also being produced by David Heyman, a producer for all eight films. The script is the first attempt at screenwriting for Rowling and is inspired by her character Newt Scamander's Hogwarts textbook, "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them."

Perlman has starred in the FX's hit series "Sons of Anarchy" and is also known for the "Hellboy" series, "Pacific Rim" and "Hand of God."

"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" is scheduled to arrive in theaters on Nov. 18, 2016.
