Five NFL personnel executives all compared California junior quarterback Jared Goff with Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan, according to Daniel Jeremiah of College Football 24/7.

Goff is one of the top prospects for the upcoming 2016 NFL draft, and his play on the field this season is validating that. He has led his team to a 5-0 start but faces his toughest challenge this Saturday against the undefeated Utah Utes.

The junior quarterback has thrown for 1,630 yards with 15 touchdowns this season. Goff will likely need a great performance Saturday night to get a win over Utah, and scouts will likely be paying very close attention to this game.

"Everything that I find out about him background wise reminds me of Matt Ryan. They're both very accurate passers with good size," said one NFL executive, via nfl.com. "He has a tall, skinny frame and plays with a gunslinger mentality. He's not as reckless as Jay Cutler, but I do see a lot of similarities to Matt Ryan at Boston College," said another NFL executive.

Ryan and Goff are both 6-foot-4 and both have big arms that can make deep throws. Ryan's NFL record is 70-44, and he has led the Atlanta Falcons to playoffs three times. Ryan was the third pick in the 2008 draft, and some have speculated that Goff could go early to the Chicago Bears depending on their record.

All eyes will likely be on Goff this Saturday, as scouts and NFL organizations will likely want to see how he plays under the spotlight of a major college football game.
