Police have arrested a Florida woman for stabbing her husband repeatedly in the neck after he yelled out another woman's name during sex, reported My FOX 8.

When West Palm Beach Police arrived at the home, they found Christina Balazi, 39, trying to flee in her car, but they were able to apprehend her after a brief chase. The victim, Christopher Balazi, was inside the home, bleeding profusely with multiple stab wounds.

Police officials said that Christina pulled a sheet over her husband's head during sex, at which time Christopher said that he felt a sharp pain in his neck, according to NBC Miami. After removing the sheet, he claimed that his wife was straddling him while holding a kitchen knife.

Christina then chased her husband through the house with the knife until he was able to get it away from her and called the police.

Police arrested Christina and charged her with attempted murder, as well as fleeing and eluding charges.

Christopher was treated for non-life threatening injuries at St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach.

Christina is on probation from an earlier jail stint in May of this year, in which the former housekeeper stole jewelry, cash and medications from the home she was paid to clean, the New York Daily News noted. The Balazis have been married for 10 years.

The incident follows a month after a Florida man was arrested for disemboweling his girlfriend when she called out another man's name during sex, as previously reported by HNGN.
