Marc Gasol has turned himself into one of the best centers in the NBA over the past few years after previously just being considered Pau's little brother. Gasol just recently re-upped with the Memphis Grizzlies for five years and $113 million so he has no plans of leaving there anytime soon. Pau still has two years remaining on his contract with the Chicago Bulls but will become a free agent in the summer of 2017 and when that happens Marc reportedly plans to recruit him to Memphis, according to Europa Press.

The Gasol brothers have played together before for the Spanish national team and Marc would love to make that happen in the NBA saying "We will try to bring Pau to Memphis, it would be unbelievable." Pau is coming off a tremendous season in his first year with the Bulls where he was named to his fifth All-Star game and actually started opposite Marc who started for the West.

Pau is now 35 years old but he shows no signs of slowing down as he averaged 18.5 points and 11.8 rebounds in 78 games a season ago, his best season since 2010-11 with the Los Angeles Lakers. By the time Pau becomes a free agent he will be 37 years old so it is impossible to know whether he will want to or even be able to continue playing in the NBA.

Marc and Pau have an extremely close relationship so of course Marc would love it if Pau were able to join him in Memphis even if it was just for a year. Marc is currently 30 years old and while he said he would love to play with Pau he also said he would never change teams so he will try his best to get Pau to come to the Grizzlies in 2017.

Right now this is just Marc's hope that he can possibly get Pau to come play with him and there is no reason to believe this is likely to happen but it is interesting to note that the Grizzlies current power forward, Zach Randolph, also has his contract expire before the summer of 2017 so as of right now it seems they would have a place for Pau should he consider playing with his brother.
