Zelda Williams is "heartbroken" over the death of Jim Carrey's ex-girlfriend Cathriona "Cat" White, who was found dead in her apartment of an apparent suicide.

"Heartbroken to continue to watch sweet, kind souls be consumed by darkness. May it never hurt less, so we never grow numb to the loss," the daughter of the late Robin Williams wrote on Twitter Tuesday after White's death reported.

Williams' father took his own life in August 2014. It was later revealed that the "Mrs. Doubtfire" actor was battling depression and had recently been diagnosis with Parkinson's disease.

Williams also shared link and details to a suicide and self-harm prevention program organization based in White's native Ireland, adding, "In honor of (White) please check out www.pieta.ie. They do great work in her wonderful home country. RIP Cat."

White, 28, was born and raised in Ireland, but later moved to Los Angeles to become a makeup artist. As previously reported by HNGN, White was found dead at her home in Sherman Oaks, California on Monday night. A suicide note addressed to the Carrey was reportedly found on the scene, Her death is being investigated as a suicide since as pills were discovered next to her body.

After news of the tragedy emerged, Carrey, 53, released an emotional statement following White's death: "I am shocked and deeply saddened by the passing of my sweet Cathriona. She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled. My heart goes out to her family and friends and to everyone who loved and cared about her. We have all been hit with a lightning bolt."

White had been in an on-and-off relationship with Carrey since they met in 2012.
