More and more of Jim Carrey's girlfriend Cathriona White's loved ones are speaking out about her tragic death, and none of them can believe such a thing has happened. All of her friends and family seem completely shocked and devastated that such a kind and cared-about young woman would consider suicide.

As an Irish-born makeup artist, White touched the lives of many. Sam Brittan, who is a producer and worked with White on his film "Bunker 731," is just as surprised as everyone else, especially since she was never someone who appeared depressed to him.

"That's what is so troubling about this," Brittan explained to Access Hollywood. "All the memories I have of her are happy and joyful. What a sweet, happy girl she was. There was a light that emanated from her. I can't believe it happened."

White's family had very similar and emotional things to say about her within their statement, which makes you realize just how amazing of a person she really was. "Cathriona was a shining light in our lives," they explained. "We will miss her terribly."

White was found dead in her Los Angeles apartment on Monday night with a suicide note addressing her and Carrey's most recent breakup lying next to her. Next to the note, they also found some pills, so it has been assumed that she committed suicide even though the results can't be confirmed until the autopsy is completed.

"I had no knowledge of any sort of drug addiction or problems or anything like that," Brittan continued. "I don't remember her being anything but professional. After wrap, if there were drinks, she wasn't one of the partiers, let's put it that way."

He went on to explain how she was someone who loved her job and really took pride in being a makeup artist. He also said that almost every guy who met her instantly fell in love with her and always wanted to ask her out. "She was just an adorable and sweet person," he said. "She had this energy."

When she started privately dating Carrey on and off, Brittan did start to see less of her, but the two always stayed in touch. "She never told any of us about it," he said of her relationship with Carrey. "I only ever talked to her about it once and she said she didn't like how the press was harassing her family in Ireland. That was all she said about it. She was a talented, hard-working person and not just Jim Carrey's girlfriend. She was an absolute joy to be around."
