A Florida man allegedly took millions of pounds of citrus that are worth more than $500,000 without paying for them and is now being accused of fraud.

Bradley Reiter, from Winter Haven, authorized three agreements to produce oranges and grapefruit in the groves back in March 2014. However, he ended up not paying for the produce.

Reiter yielded more than 4 million pounds of citrus a few months later, according to the New York Daily News.

The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Service also revealed that Reiter actually does not have a license and that he illegally went into a resident's grove and took 180 boxes of the citrus.

Officials said that Reiter's company, Reiter Citrus Inc., paid the resident with only half of the actual value of the produce, CNN reported.

Meanwhile, Reiter had also signed a contract with another resident where he bought oranges and grapefruits from and took 570 boxes but again did not pay the resident for them, according to Fresh from Florida.

Reiter has been arrested and is currently detained at the Polk County Jail while facing multiple charges, which include grand theft, scheme to defraud and distributing citrus without having any license.
