Comedian and actor Kevin Hart ("Ride Along 2") is scheduled to be Trevor Noah's first guest on "The Daily Show" which will return sans Jon Stewart on September 28 on Comedy Central, Deadline reports.

Noah has rounded out his first week behind the desk with an impressive stable of guests that include Bumble founder and CEO Whitney Wolfe (Sept. 29), GOP presidential candidate and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (Sept. 30) and musician Ryan Adams (Oct. 1).

Hart is currently filming "Central Intelligence" with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson ("San Andreas") and Aaron Paul ("Breaking Bad"). He's also in production on the animated feature "The Secret Life of Pets" with Lake Bell ("No Escape") and Ellie Kemper ("Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt").

Despite some less-than-stellar critical reviews, Hart has become somewhat of a champion at the box office. Dating back to 2012's "Think Like a Man," Hart's films have routinely far outperformed expectations and generated considerable profits against relatively inexpensive budgets.

Noah is catching the entertainer at a time when many consider him to be one of the best working comedians. What a way to kick things off.
