Kris Jenner just cannot bring herself to call her ex-husband Caitlyn. The head of the Kardashian clan revealed to Access Hollywood that she was still adjusting to all the changes her family went through in the past year and she was "getting to know her" first.

"Can you call Caitlyn, Caitlyn?" Billy Bush asked Kris.

"No," she said. "I say 'Jenner.'"

Caitlyn Jenner filed paperwork earlier this week to be legally declared a woman and for her name to be legally changed to Caitlyn.

The former couple were married in 1991 and separated in 2013. Since their separation, Caitlyn came out as transgender on to cover of Vanity Fair and revealed her name in the caption, "Call me Caitlyn."

The two went face-to-face for the first time in the seventh and eighth episodes of Caitlyn's series, "I am Cait."

"I just thought she would be a little bit different," Kris said. "Bruce had a distinct personality and, you know, had definite characteristics. And Caitlyn has some different ones, I feel."

"Can you ever be great friends with Caitlyn? Girlfriends?" Bush asked. "Curl up on the couch? Can this happen?"

"I don't know about curl up on the couch, but she came over for a drink last night," Kris replied. "And that was nice."
