A mother from Turnbridge Wells in the United Kingdom, who bought £300 worth of cocaine as a present for her daughter on her 18th birthday, was arrested days before the party.

Nicola Austen, 37, bought 12 bags of cocaine and also hired a limo to use for a night of wild celebrations because she wanted to make sure that her daughter would have "a very good time," according to the Daily Mail UK.

However, Austen was arrested after police raided her home back in January, where they discovered 5.65 grams of the Class A drug that were stashed in sections of her bedroom window.

Having already been convicted for drug possession in the past, Austen confessed to possessing cocaine with the intention to supply, according to ITV News.

Austen was able to avoid a jail sentence and was given a nine-month sentence and was suspended for a year because the judge believed it would have a negative effect on a young boy in the family.

"They were to be consumed over the course of the weekend. Offences of this nature are to be taken seriously. The offence normally attracts a sentence of imprisonment of some length," recorder Matthew McDonagh told Austen.

Austin was also ordered by the judge to complete 250 hours of unpaid work, according to The Telegraph UK.
